The root of the word "evangelism" is "good news" -- and Zion's
Board of Evangelism is tasked with spreading the good news
of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Not to do it all themselves, but in stressing it themselves and
in leading the congregation into greater effort and urgency in
reaching out to the lost.
Here at Zion we know our Childcare and School are the primary
"entry points" into the congregation, but we are committed to
reaching out to our community at large.  Various ways we do this
are through the Menomonee Falls parade, direct mailing, door-to-
door canvassing, and showing our members how to share our
faith in a relational way.
We are also concerned with spreading the "good news" to all
the world.  This is why we here at Zion also concern ourselves -
and involve ourselves - in missions and ministries throughout
the Milwaukee area, throughout Wisconsin, and out into the rest
of our nation and the world.
One key aspect of our wider mission work is by partnering with
our parent denomination, the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod
(www.lcms.org)  and it's local branch, the South Wisconsin District
(SWD) of the LCMS www.swd.lcms.org).
